Clapit is the talent discovery app that crowdsources professional and amateur actors straight into film & TV roles. The two winners of clapit’s #TheMagnificentRaidersfilm open call will perform “voice over” speaking roles in the animation feature “The Magnificent Raiders” by filmmaker Dante D’Anthony.
All people ages 16+ who are legal residents of the USA are eligible to enter. No prior acting experience is required. Open to union & non-union.. There is no charge to download clapit or enter the contest. IMPORTANT: Clapit reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant in breach of the Official Rules.
To audition please improvise one of the following character breakdowns:
Vincent – (male role)
Vincent is an intergalactic smuggler. He has been ordered by Elia Tristan (president of the Trade Guild), to return to the planet RIP and team up with an archaeologist, and begin searching for a dangerous, “extra- dimensional” creature. The scene is funny: Vincent doesn’t want to go, and does everything possible to “wiggle out” of going. Improvise this scene!
Beatrice – (female role)
Beatrice, is a clone. Her “original” was a soldier, and was tragically killed in battle. In this scene, Beatrice quietly confronts her commanding officer Max (who’s unable to speak), and demands to know why he didn’t profess his love to her “original”, before she died. The scene is mostly comical, given the fact that Max is unable to appropriately respond. Improvise this scene!
